Jealous Songtext
von Bobby's Oar

Jealous Songtext

I′m climbing to the tops of these tallest trees
Where I'll wait for winter to kill off its leaves
So I can peer over the fence into the neighbor′s yard
But I'm always jealous of the things I can't have

I′ve been cutting loose with strangers supposed to keep me sane
All this complacency′s wasting my name
I'll cover all the windows, learn to live inside
Nothing′s an option, no feelings arise

But I know that things won't get any better
Before they get worse

Things won′t get any better
Because living deep in jealousy has its price

I've been slumping in my thoughts just to kill the time
I′ve been waiting for a day in which the sun won't shine
Can't see the grass is greener on the other side

That things won′t get any better
Before they get worse

Things won′t get any better

I'm climbing to the tops of these tallest trees
Where I′ll wait for winter to kill off its leaves
So I can peer over the fence into the neighbor's yard
But I′m always jealous of the things I can't have

Boy, am I jealous of the things I can′t have
Things I can't have
Jealous of the things I can't have
