Duende Songtext
von Bob Wagner
Duende Songtext
Hollow are the horns of death
And empty is the wind
As something draws its final breath
Duende rushes in
A spirit dances on the throne
Of time, with dusty bones
A seeker hears a secret call
In language quite unknown
A sound so dark it paints the air
It′s blackness joins us all
Feeds every act and drinks the thoughts
Of lovers great and small
A sound so dense it can't be heard
With ears, but hearts of coal
Attuned to earth and sea and sky
It′s the space between our souls
A sound so thick it chokes the air
The smoke of burning flowers
Though sweet at first it stains the dirt
And gently kills the hours
I don't how to kill them any more
Tears that fell from the rim of the well
To the bottom where they lay
Their tale of woe and sorrows grow
In a dark and watery grave
To make a home of life and peace
We must entertain
Equal notions light and dark
Ecstasy and pain
And empty is the wind
As something draws its final breath
Duende rushes in
A spirit dances on the throne
Of time, with dusty bones
A seeker hears a secret call
In language quite unknown
A sound so dark it paints the air
It′s blackness joins us all
Feeds every act and drinks the thoughts
Of lovers great and small
A sound so dense it can't be heard
With ears, but hearts of coal
Attuned to earth and sea and sky
It′s the space between our souls
A sound so thick it chokes the air
The smoke of burning flowers
Though sweet at first it stains the dirt
And gently kills the hours
I don't how to kill them any more
Tears that fell from the rim of the well
To the bottom where they lay
Their tale of woe and sorrows grow
In a dark and watery grave
To make a home of life and peace
We must entertain
Equal notions light and dark
Ecstasy and pain
