A Blinding Light Songtext

A Blinding Light Songtext

How can I see, even though it′s there in front of me?
It's got back, it′s cold and crawling on my knees
Searching, for something so cruel yet so alluring
That's all I can seem to be
I've been living in the shadow now for far too long
The senses burn and the courage, like it doesn′t belong
It′s one thing to dwell in silence, when you feel nothing at all
But you cannot hear the heart or feel the pain at the end of the fall
I've both been left of that and moved beyond the door
Just what I thought I was, and it′s something more
I hope that I could at least restore my sight
The clock is on, I've eaten one without a bloody lie
I can feel the light burn when the night was cold
And I struggled to see, as the life I lived before
Told the light guiding me, as I lost my way
And I struggled to see, to find the path back to the day
Is it a thought that lives on when all the days have passed?
I can′t dwell on that, I'd rather have the other one
I should have known that the struggle never really ends
The road is long, don′t try to see what's beyond the bend
The walls are wide, and the cost of another's disguise
Never have to crawl to get back where you′ve been
I thought I was stronger than me, that I had more to give
That the light of the day would show me the way to go
Never wanted to turn my back to it all
This is my struggle, and I′ll have to fall
Before I have to fall down
I can feel the light burn when the night was cold
And I struggled to see, as the life I lived before
Told the light guiding me, as I lost my way
And I struggled to see, to find the path back to the day
