The end′s begun
And by our own hands it's been set in motion
Oh now even the sand we bury our heads in
Will be all washed away by the ocean
All that we′ve indulged upon has poisoned us
But we will not allow ourselves to notice
'cause we all know that stopping any of this
Has now all but become completely hopeless


So this is just the price we pay
For building our world in decay
And so now we can only wait
As our foundations just give way
Was there ever any hope for us?
It's our nature to destroy ourselves
We stabbed this slow blade into
Our own hearts when we made this hell

Beasts that will leave only dust
They were never designed to crumble or rust
And through our failed attempts we try to separate
All the monsters we have now made out of us
But we have just created our own cages
That will only now hold us and entrap us all
Still we all pass the blame ′cause we will never
Admit any of the fault for our hand in the coming fall


So this is just the price we pay
