Deep Down in Florida Songtext
von Big Dave McLean

Yeah, I believe I′m going down to Florida
Where the sun shine damn near every day
I believe I'll go back down to Florida
Ah, where the sun shine damn near every day
I′ll take my baby out on the beach
Sit down in the sand to play

Yeah, I believe I'll go down to Gainesville
Just to see an old friend of mine
I'll go back down to Gainesville
Ah, just to see an old buddy of mine
Well, if we′re not too busy
I believe I′ll go down to Newberry sometime
He's down in Newberry, pal

Yeah, well, I′m leaving in the morning
I think I'll be up and on my way
Well, well, yeah, I′ll get myself up in plenty of time
I don't wanna make myself late
Well, you know, I believe I′ll go back down to Gainesville
And this time I'm gonna stay
I think it's down to Gainesville, Stevens

Yeah, deep down in Florida
That′s the place that I long to be
Well, well, deep down in Florida
Ah, that′s the place I long to be
I'll take my baby out in the backyard
And sit down under that old orange tree
