Manhattan Sky Songtext

Manhattan Sky Songtext

Killing the time till you make your mind your own
Watching the spray blow in from the great unknown
Wondering how we′ll make all the miles dissolve
When we're both out to sea, will you think of me at all?

There′s too much to forget
High times, low light
So it's not over yet
High rise, low tide

Pulling at threads till something you said takes hold
Throwing aside the things that we tried to control
You think I'll change if I make my way alone
But not everyone will become corrupted souls

There′s too much to forget
High times, low light
And it′s not over yet
High rise, low tide

There are more ways for us to try
And doorways open in light
We'll always keep it alive
Or someday we′ll see what is right
If hollow thoughts became things
That brought us back to where we were closest
We'd make for the climb
That showed us the Manhattan spine

Killing the time till you make your mind your own
Hoping to find a place in your great unknown
Whether we win or whether we spin again
We′ve already found enough common ground to graze

Are there more ways for us to try?
Are doorways open inside
Some hole where we keep it alive
Till someday we see what is right?
If hollow thoughts were like scenes
That brought us back to when we were younger
The camera would find us under
The Manhattan spine
