Lives by the sea and she catches fish

On to sand, dry sand
And tells the beach about her doubts and fears
Her sandy lips up to its sandy ears


And the beach says
"There is a river where the sand is smooth bone white
The water silvers with the moon that shines full every night"
White rolling water that hisses like a snake
Red sun at night no delight in what you take
And every ripple reflects your shattered face
One man′s heaven is another's fall from grace

It was a night, one night
When the man woke up from a noisy dream
With a scream that sent
The seabirds high in the new moon sky
And he looked at the river in doubt and fear
Put his fishy blood finger in his aching ears

That night, same night
The woman woke up from a noisy dream
With a scream that sent

And she looked at the sea with doubt and fear
Slipped a night cold sand in her aching ears

And the dream said
"There is a place where the river meets the sea
The water glows a sunset red where you will meet with me"

Today, one day
When the man walked along the riverside
To the sea, full tide
And there he met the woman and he cried
And they told each other of their doubts and fears
And they smiled from the ocean up to their ears
And the water turned the fishgill red
And they made the ocean into their bed

As they sank in the sheets I heard her cry
"I should have shouted but I don′t know why
I saw them there but they didn't see me
And I missed my chance but still they sing
There′s plenty more fish in the sea"
