Sun′s up high in the clear blue sky
Though my mouth's getting dry, still I sing
Sun burns down through my fears as it′s burned away the years
All the laughter and the tears are now missing

And I wonder where the time has gone
And I wonder, "Where did I go wrong?"

I've wasted all my time trying so hard to find the rhyme
I've lost the one thing truly mine which was my future
Though I still have the past, I just don′t know if it will last
Oh it′s disappearing fast, I am so unsure


Oh I wonder what I'll find on down the road
Will I blunder and drop my shouldered load

Still I travel on and I rest from dusk ′til dawn
Until the blinding sun has shone ahead to guide me
Days pass by the same, the place I'm going has no name
I just hope fortune and fame will come and find me

Oh I ask myself, "Is this what you want from life?"
And I reply, "Oh it′s worth the pain and strife"

If you should see me there on the road to nowhere
Looking for my share of the Big Time
