But you never stayed long enough to see the climb
You didn't watch me build myself from nothing but scars
Didn′t see the nights I prayed to quiet my heart

I used to bite my tongue to make you feel tall
Held my breath dimmed my light gave it all
But I've learned that shrinking don't buy you grace
It just leaves you empty in your own space

I′m done apologizing for how I shine
If confidence scares you that′s not mine
