We′d dance every night in my dreams
Your warm embrace enveloped me
I stumbled my way through the dark
Guided by refracted stars
That's what you've always meant to me
Sleepless summer nights on the family PC
Nothing back then was complicated
Created out of passion but
Something′s changed since
It doesn′t mean it went away
As time goes on, we got so estranged
I lost sight of you in chasing


The heartstring's reverie
Aches endlessly to sing
A forgotten melody
It carries the memories
Which gently hold the key
To what you′ve been searching for

I longed to grow as an artist
Paint the scenes I lived inside of
As it dragged on I became distant
Overshadowed by self doubt
I couldn't make out who I was
Felt that I was nothing at all
Hid behind those I respected
To rekindle our lost connection
Was a childlike sense of awe
And trust in my intuition
To write a happy song
To make something truly different
And then a spark
Caught fire
Into a full blown conflagration
Of aspiration
