The space between us should sing how you′ll be missed
I can't help but admire the hope you′ll still exist
When your lungs are still and you're bathed in prayer
You'll accept and adhere to a faith I do not share

I′ll face eventual repose
But without such grace
Shall I apotheose?


In time, you won′t be able to call that shape your own
Will you miss the months of struggle, or watch from waves unknown?
Can assent and cold lament coincide?
Worry not, but spare a thought for the world you leave behind

Please know that any soul saw your worth
And the roots and the rocks were glad when you gave yourself to the earth
And I hope that any doubt had left your mind
It might be that there's a celestial home for you to find

And should you hear, may clarity declare
By what shade we live on, ascendant in air
