The fairy tale began.
The storybook romance.
We were swept away by a flowery love.
Never dreamed that we would think
of giving it up.
I see now just how we wished it could be.
Are we both enchanted, or is it just me?
I can make believe you love me.

Our once upon a time
was somehow left behind.
It was swept away like leaves in the wind.
Nothing left for us but to pretend.
The fear I face is watching you leave.
Would I make a mistake by trying
to make you believe?

to make it true

But this love, real love, I fear I know.
