It′s getting cold outside and the leaves are falling down
The days are shorter now as the shadows have grown long
Around this time of year all the landscape starts to change
Soon the snow will come and the drips will fill the days


Then you'll have to find your winter coat
Hatted gloves and scarf and boots
Stay inside until the winter′s gone
Spring will come and be reborn

It's that time of year when the green goes in the ground
Blazing out in glory, killing time all to the sound
Melting ice and snow and the wind and rain and sun
That time is months away under Mother Nature's thumb

Now you′ll have to find your winter coat
Hatted gloves and your scarf go
Stay inside all winter long
