Oversaturated Songtext
von Among Legends

All turned around in a place I′ve never been
Nothing quite like it, and no one quite like you
Haven't had a good night′s sleep in weeks
Surviving on coffee shop caffeine
So really, what's another night or two?
The movie theatre marquee hasn't lit up in a few years
The group of faithful′s dwindling at the church
We walk around, you point out places
Tell me what they used to be
A cocktail mood of pride and hurt

You say you′ve never really met somebody much like you
On the outside looking in like we both do

So show me around the places that you know
So oversaturated
I'm happy to hang ′til you decide to go
So close then separated
So tell me about the records that you love
The time slows when you play them
We'll sit and we′ll talk and we'll listen ′til they're done
So oversaturated

Invite me back to see your home the same day that we meet
It's not like you to let your guard down fast
Photographs of family members hang along the stairway wall
A history in snapshots, now and past
You′re making plans to split and see what life′s like in a bigger city
Maybe there's another chance we′ll meet
Just a quick stop at the hospital to handle a handful of headaches
A little dizziness and it's been getting harder to see

Never sure whether you′re ostracized
For your shit genetics or the music you like
But you can handle it, yeah you've always handled it

So tell me about what you think happens next
As we sit way too close all alone on your front steps
And the dusty roads we drove down
Every empty school and playground
You said you love and hate your hometown
But that it seems alright for right now

Time moves slow when it′s just you and me
