Given a wish from the djinn

His bottle I found on the beach

Under a washed log, bleached air
Sandstone wind picked clean by the sun′s glare
Its bright stare, that glassy green was within my gentle reach
I took it home, sitting on my table all alone
Cleaning it, the cap wouldn't come loose
With a hiss of air, he came forth
One wish on offer, anything I asked
One time would be mine
Cost paid, price exacted


Only one thought struck me
Hit my loins, sent needles down my spine
I said the words, he nodded, it was done
I felt the magic changing me
All I wanted, all I asked
Was for one day I would be he and he would be me
The man I loved for so long
I would take him, I would show him what he needed to do
To dull, to sate me
To quench the desire that I had in me

One wish on offer, anything I asked
One time would be mine
Cost paid, price exacted
And so it was and so it will be
That I awoke, awoke from my dreams
The sweat on my brow, the sheets clinging to my form
The cold sea where you should be
Not with me
