Adulthood (on A) Songtext
von Alev Lenz

I had an understanding of adulthood that included salt and pepper shakers
Tiny salt and pepper shakers, salt and pepper shakers

I had an understanding of adulthood that included hanging curtains
I hate venetian blinds

I did, I did, I did

You had an understanding of adulthood that included to be parented
By your partner

I had no understanding of adulthood that included hooks in public bathrooms and no more trampolines
No more trampolining, no more trampolining
I do, I do, I do, I do
I did, I did

Fleeting as it is this moment will pass you
This moment will pass you
Fleeting as it is this moment will pass you
I did, I did

I remember someone stating I must have it together as I own a salad spinner, salad spinner
I thought I had it all figured out when I bought those salt and pepper shakers
Salt and pepper shakers, salt and pepper shakers

This moment will pass you
I threw them out, I threw them out
This moment will pass you
I did, I did
I threw them out, I threw them out
This moment will pass you

Fleeting as it is this moment will pass you
Salad spinner Adulthood broke us
Salad spinner, salt and pepper shakers

This moment will pass you Fleeting as it is this moment will pass you
This moment will pass you Fleeting as it is this moment will pass you
I did, I did
I threw them out, I threw them out
This moment will pass you Fleeting as it is this moment will pass you

Salad spinner Adulthood broke us
Salad spinner Adulthood broke us
Salt and pepper shaker Throw it all out
Salad spinner, salt and pepper shaker
