I went to see the globe in gold vivid reds

What have I got myself into?
Why did it turn out this way?
I hedged my bets on something bigger
To climb the Everest of waves
I knew exactly what I wanted to find
And I fear I've been deceived
It wasn′t in the plan to lie to you all
But become the first king of the sea
