Double Wail Songtext
von A Contra Blues
Double Wail Songtext
I used to think the bigger the better
But now I know it′s not always clever
To have a friend the size of a whale
Is not too easy to handle
When I hear "size doesn't matter"
I feel the need to cry with a splutter
So now maybe you′ll understand
Why this is my whale
I call my thing my double trouble
Because it shreds when I make low-strung sludge
And it's not too easy to play
Staying tuned and sounding well
Sometimes I feel I need more power
Because my thing is big and it hollers
Now I'm gonna hear you play
This is my whale
Every man has to take his decisions
But it′s essential to base them on reason
And don′t take it when you're drunk
Or so dizzy and high
I could have chosen to play the ukulele
The harp, baby, the R&B frilly
But I did not choose very well
Can you understand my whale?
But now I know it′s not always clever
To have a friend the size of a whale
Is not too easy to handle
When I hear "size doesn't matter"
I feel the need to cry with a splutter
So now maybe you′ll understand
Why this is my whale
I call my thing my double trouble
Because it shreds when I make low-strung sludge
And it's not too easy to play
Staying tuned and sounding well
Sometimes I feel I need more power
Because my thing is big and it hollers
Now I'm gonna hear you play
This is my whale
Every man has to take his decisions
But it′s essential to base them on reason
And don′t take it when you're drunk
Or so dizzy and high
I could have chosen to play the ukulele
The harp, baby, the R&B frilly
But I did not choose very well
Can you understand my whale?
