As if a dying star was torn inside out

Decimation is not enough
You wouldn′t learn even if you could
It's more than I can withstand

What for were promises inaugurated?
Illusions won′t survive this vehement assault
Perhaps my purpose was always tainted by hate
All that should bring warmth will now degrade

Falling heavens shall cover the earth
In a riven rain of pearlescent gore

Enduring this pain yielded no reward
Or was it for the greater good?
Not what one can withstand
Not what one should

Before all is turned to mud, I only wish to ask –
Do you understand at last? Can you finally comprehend?
