Jonathan lives all on his own
He can′t have distractions in the home
He stays locked in most days and nights
Trying to create while the neighbors fight

He says, I don't have any inspiration
And my subject matter lacks invention

Jonathan′s writing a book you see
It's gonna be a masterpiece, a feat
He doesn't have a title or a plot
Oh, but he knows what′s good
And he knows what′s not

Well, I′m sure the rest would turn out fine

He's planning on at least a thousand pages
It has to be a story for the ages
But from war and peace to the cowboy cook
There′s not much left for Jonathan's book
