Blessed Ones Songtext

I, I
I-I-I-I, I-I
I-I-I-I, I

I cry a little tears when my mother go to rest, Lord
It′s a thin line between life and death
In this world there's joy and sorrow
No one knows what comes tomorrow

So, while I live, I give thanks and praise
To the most high, daily I pray
While I live, I give thanks and praise
To the most high, Jah Rastafari

In the morning I chant the psalms for Jah
I feel Jah vibration, it′s taking the air
Birds of a feather may sing in harmony
Along with the Rastaman, and that's me
I-I-I-I, I-I-I
They light up my chalice, burn my incense of herbs
I-I-I-I, I-I-I
They might come a drought, and I chant on Babylon (Jah!)
I-I-I-I-I-I
Flow blessings of herbs from my liver nerves
I-I-I-I-I-I
And I fly in the spirit to Mount Zion
In deep meditation, let us pray

Blessed are the pure in spirit
For, there is the kingdom of heaven, oh Jah
Blessed are they that mourn
For, they shall be comforted (Let us pray)
Blessed are the meek
For, they shall inherit the earth (Oh Jah)
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness
For, they shall be filled
With the powers of the most high that lives (Oh Jah)
Blessed are the merciful
For, they shall find mercy (Oh Jah)
Blessed are the pure in heart
For, they shall see Jah, the almighty Jah
Blessed are the peacemakers
For, they shall become the son of Jah, Rastafari
Blessed are they who are persecuted
On account of righteousness
