See the only reason I got to come and do this show
It′s on one condition
I had to promise my daughter, Rhonda
That I would tell you her favorite story
Now it's a kids story
But I think it says a lot to all of us

It′s about being on the outside
'Bout being different
It's about a country that′s not too far from here
Just a dot on the map
And it′s called The Land of Point
It's called the land of Point because-

Everybody had one
Everybody needed one
A point
Couldn′t be without one
Everybody had one


This is the town and these are the people
This is the town where the people all stay
This is the town and these are the people
That's the way they wanted it
That′s the way it's going to stay

You see, everyone, everywhere
In the land of Point
Had to have one
A nice sharp one right on the tops of their heads
Then, one day a little boy was born
Named, Oblio

Absolutely perfect in everyway
Well-
Not perfect
He was born round-headed
And really quiet pointless
In fact, he was the only person in the land of Point that didn′t have one
So he spent much of his time with his dog, Arrow
Even Arrow had a point

Me and my arrow
Straighter than narrow
Wherever we go, everyone knows
It's me and my arrow

You see, everyone loved Oblio
They loved him
Well, everyone that is except the evil council
An evil council kept shouting "the law is the law, the law is the law"
Honey
And the law in the land of Point was
You had to have one
So, poor Oblio was banished

Banished to the Pointless Forest
A dark, and forbidden place
Where nothing had a point

You see, no one had ever been in the Pointless Forest
And Oblio was there all alone
He was frightened
And scared
'Cause he was at the point of no return

Oblio heard a strange sound
Coming from a pile of stones

Mr Rock man, is this the pointless forest?

Ain′t nothing pointless about this gig boy

Cause pointing in every direction is the same as no point at all
Auwu, Oblio got the point
Yes he did
And the way he ran, all the way back home to the land of Point
He passed all the rocks and trees

The point he ran straight into the time square
When he bumped into the evil council
And his boss, the king and the evil council said to Oblio
"What, are you doing here?"
You were banished to the Pointless Forest
You round-headed, you-

How would you like him to merry your daughter?
And Oblio said
But sir

I went into the Pointless Forest
And I found out all the rocks had points
Trees and flowers had points, in fact everything has a point
So I figured I must have one too
And the king replied
"He's got a point there"

And at that point all pals and the pointless people Began to talk
Then guess what
A miracle happened
All the heads of the pointed people
They began to melt all the way down to nothing at all
Even the head of the evil council
His he′d began to melt down

Oh, melt all down evil council
Oh, melt all, melt all down evil council
I loved that
And the evil council said that to Oblio
"I'm sorry Oblio."
And Oblio replied
"It′s Okay sir, let not get hung up on a minor point"
