One night down there in Boston
Turned there in Cleveland Square
There was a sound
That came out
It came out of nowhere

And the bar manager he greeted us and he said
Hey you′re late and
About the contract it was sent back
And there were a few changes made
And the opening band had gear that worked and
All their t-shirts matched
And they took the stage
And sounded like rage against the machine
Well they kicked our asses


And that band says they're big in Europe
And that band says they′re big in Japan
That band says they're going to do it and
I do not know that I do not believe them

And then you called out from side-stage
Don't you know any billy, ′piano man′, Joel?
And you raged all night, shouted through the smoke
And it you called it back and you said
Please don't go for anymore I
I don′t think I can keep track of myself
