A teenage boy stood at her door.
He gently held a sweet red rose.
He shyly offered it and fled.
A scribbled note attached she read,

Against her wedding dress of white,
He bent a sweet red rose so bright.
"Before we say the words I do,

Then came a happy baby boy,
Their love but overflowed with joy.


She woke to see a rose of red,
And heard the whispered words he said.

She stands alone now head bowed low.
Someone hands her a sweet red rose.
And on the card attached she reads,
"Goodbye my love, don't cry for me."
