She dwells in a hell she had built for herself to ensure her safety.
With sight to foretell evil men for their deeds where she had seen this muse,
It was born of lies that she hid behind her eyes.

She flew from comfort and routine, four walls fell around the dream.
Though feet aren't prepared, resolve was declared.
The door's open.

Put down the burdens of haunting pasts. Earn the marvels that most won't have.
She walks with cool composure, masking her panicked state of mind.
She's sick to death with worry, so she tells herself, "I'm gonna die".
Pupils adjust to sunlight, and lungs remember how to breathe.
So she pulls herself together and sets her sights to cross the street. A child brushes her ankle, and she's thankful that she's not alone.
