I've read the books, I've tried it all, I′ve lived behind a curtain
And maybe life is protocol, but I still feel uncertain
Every day, I get lost in the grey where the light is ever-white
And it finds me trying to find my will
And be still
And let go of my heart to fill

And now we′re strangers, so it's okay, you don′t have to say it
Stranger's better, anyway, and I think that we can make it
I don′t have much, but what I've got is something I can give
And I′ve found that on your own is no good way to live
